Cape & Islands - Sounds of Summer!

Baseball, hot dogs, ice cream, suntan lotion, kids frolicking in the ocean: these are the sights, sounds and smells of an Americana summer. The Cape & Islands add another sound to this mix: the summer band concert. The summer band concert offers an evening of music from Town Bands and other invited performers.

Cape Cod Town Bands perform a varied program of musical selections including marches, jazz, swing, big band, patriotic, Broadway show tunes, movie scores, popular medleys and other band classics.

Free weekly summer Town Band concerts:

• Tuesdays - The Harwich Town Band, 7PM at Brooks Park
• Wednesdays - Barnstable Town Band, 7PM Hyannis Village Green
• Thursdays -
  * The Sandwich Town Band, 7PM at the Banstand behind the former Henry T Wing School, Sandwich
  * Falmouth Town Band, 7:30PM at Marina Park
• Fridays - Chatham Band, 8PM at Kate Gould Park
• Sundays -
  * The Brewster Band, 6PM at Drummer Boy Park
  * Vineyard Haven Band - Martha's Vineyard, 7:30PM alternating weeks between Vineyard Haven, at the bandshell in Owen Park, and Oak Bluffs, in the Ocean Park gazebo.

Town Band concerts are Free & Family Friendly! So gather the whole family, and your visiting guests! Pack a picnic supper, folding chairs, blankets and insect repellent. Wear your dancing shoes and join friends and neighbors for an evening of toe tapping-fun.
